the brief
I wanted to create a poster for my kitchen that would complement the other food-related artwork we already had up. After a brilliant meal at a street food restaurant, I thought it would be perfect to capture that vibrant Indian street food vibe as part of our collection.
the creative process
I went with the classic Indian colour combination of saffron orange and deep green, using traditional decorative patterns and typography that felt authentic to the street food culture. The design needed to feel handcrafted and energetic, matching the restaurant's lively atmosphere and our kitchen's casual aesthetic.
the outcome
The poster fits perfectly in our kitchen and brings that lovely warm, spicy feeling of Indian street food into the space. It's a nice personal touch that reminds us of a great meal out, whilst adding some vibrant colour and cultural flair to the room.
